Concrete Worktops

Concrete Worktops … are a relatively new entry into the UK kitchen worktop market.

On the face of it they sound a little drab and utilitarian, but in reality they provide a new concept in solid surfaces.

They can be supplied in “pre fabricated” blank lengths (then cut, joined, polished, and waxed in-situ) or poured on site (then hand troweled to a perfect finish).

Guess which is the dearest option?

Concrete Worktops are generally coloured, the colours being more muted than other “natural stone worktops, and have a similar texture and feel to Corian Worktops.

Concrete Worktops are waterproof, alcohol resistant, non-yellowing and anti-microbial as well as having good heat resistance and excellent wear properties.

Concrete Worktops generally are combined with under mounted sink bowls with recessed drainer grooves (as the norm with Granite), but pose no problems with customers wishing to utilise standard inset sinks

As with most “specialist solid” worktops it is advisable to purchase Concrete Worktops from a specialist manufacturer - that will template prior to manufacture and installation.

We Say … No other worktop  presents you with the opportunity of having a matching patio!

Chuck out your kettle

Quooker

Its time to get rid of the kettle and invest in instant boiling water … on tap!

The Quooker is not just a fancy gadget, only available to the rich and infamous, it is a well thought out device that will become more and more popular over the coming years.

Just think of the advantages of instant hot water in your kitchen:

  • No waiting for the kettle to boil
  • Instant Tea and Coffee
  • Blanching of Vegetables
  • Sterilisation of cooking utensils and baby stuff
  • Rinsing of dirty crockery

We believe this type of tap will eventually make kettles pointless, and although a little expensive at  present (about £700 / $1300) it will become very affordable as the price reduces in time.
