Kitchen Budget ...

Having an understanding of fitted kitchen pricing is vital if you want to keep a tight control over your spending ... a good idea is to prepare a Kitchen Budget.

We suggest most kitchens fall into the following five cost groups:

1. Kitchen Furniture (cabinets, handles, trims, laminate worktops, etc)

2. Specialist Worktop (Granite, Quartz, Corian, etc)

3. Kitchen Appliances

4. Kitchen Installation

5. Accessories (Wall Tiles, Flooring, Blinds, Lights, etc)

Check out the grid below:

Typical UK Spend ...
Bottom End
Top End
Kitchen Furniture:
£4000
£6000
Specialist Worktop:
£3500
£5000
Kitchen Appliances:
£2000
£4000
Kitchen Installation:
£2000
£3500
Accessories:
£1000
£2500

The cost's illustrated represent a typical kitchen design for an average UK three bedroom semi-detached house in the southern home counties.

As you can tell ... paying for "Top End" products and services could land you with a £21,000 bill for an average kitchen.

Conversley ... choosing "Bottom End" products and services would provide the same design for around £12,500.

Most people will choose some expensive items, and some less expensive ... and the cost will sit somewhere in the middle.

So when setting your kitchen budget be a little flexible and pay a little extra for the things that mean more to you, and less for the things that don't.
